B.L. Jasper writes literary fantasy for teens and adults, with messy characters who fight for their happily ever after. Inspired by authors like Erin Morgenstern, Garth Nix, Margaret Rogerson, Neil Gaiman and Alix E. Harrow, she loves the sweet spot where language and story come together to make something that sticks to your ribs and never lets go. Together with her friends, her teenage years were filled with writing poetry, creating zines, making short films, and so much reading she is kinda near-sighted now.
Her books feature LGBTQIA+ characters that don’t apologize for who they are, or who they love. Bisexual herself, when she’s not writing you can often find her watching The Mummy (1999) for the thousandth time.
She lives in New Hampshire (it’s near Boston) with her supportive husband and two small, rambunctious boys. In between writing sprints, she sells vintage clothing and antique books, and has more dresses than one person should ever own. She has a B.A. in Creative Writing, and before starting her own business, she spent ten years working as a bookseller.
