FORMER TPA AUTHOR: Cara Sue Achterberg (3 TPA Titles)
Cara Sue Achterberg lives on a hillside in South Central, Pennsylvania. Her freelance writing has been featured in Family Fun, Parents, and Hobby Farms Home, as well as in columns for The York Daily Record. Cara’s essays have received national recognition from Memoirs Ink and been published in the 2013 Memoir Anthology. They can also be found on the blog The Mama Load. She leads workshops on the organic lifestyle and writes the blog, Kid Friendly Organic Life, based on the adventures of running our small organic farm, while raising her three teens with her wonderfully patient husband.
Achterberg admits that while her gardening addiction feeds the family, it means her fingernails always look terrible! In addition to writing and gardening, Cara enjoys running, hiking, teaching workshops on organic life, visiting Virginia wineries, and trying not to fall off her favorite horse, True.
