Jeffrey Thurman
Jeffrey Thurman grew up in Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin but now lives in Southern California because it doesn’t snow there. After graduating from The University of Iowa he was commissioned in the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery officer. A lifelong dream to fly was realized when he attended flight school and graduated as a pilot of the legendary Huey helicopter. Having his fill of camping in tents for eight years, he entered the next chapter of his life as a Special Agent of the FBI, where he spent 26 years chasing fugitives, bank robbers, drug traffickers, and other assorted bad guys in sunny San Diego. He currently lives in San Diego with his wife, a hungry beagle, and a cat who hates the beagle. His three children and granddaughter are frequent drop-ins.
Jeff has always had a passion for words and a fascination with searching for any and all answers to the question, What if? After writing a stage play and a screenplay, he found his own answer in a tale about a boy, a girl, airplanes, World War II, and time travel. His first book, A Time for Eagles, was a finalist with The San Diego Book Awards for 2021 best unpublished novel of the year, and is available for acquisition from The Purcell Agency, LLC. |
