Martha Willey
Martha Willey was hooked on writing after penning a pioneer letter for a fourth grade history assignment. While some of her non-fiction pieces have been published in different anthologies, Martha’s real passion is fiction, specifically young adult.
She likes to listen to music while she writes and confesses to breaking out in song now and then while sitting at her computer. Martha’s competed in National Novel Writing Month for the past three years, calling it “A great adventure and a time to connect with other writers while ingesting huge amounts of caffeine.” She’s also a member of the NWOCW. When she’s not writing, Martha enjoys reading. Some of her favorite authors include, Sharon Creech, Joan Bauer, Jennifer L. Holm, and Lesley M.M. Blume who wrote one of Martha’s all-time favorite novels, Tennyson. Martha works as a library aide in a public elementary school. After writing, working in a library and reading to young children is her second favorite thing to do. She’s married, has three sons and lives in a part of Ohio where the weather changes every few minutes. Find her on Twitter @writewilley |
